Cadence has been doing amazingly well with the new sleep routine. The best part of the whole thing is the fact that she now wakes from her naps and in the morning in a great mood because she is so well-rested. Generally, she is a pretty happy kid, but she was getting pretty cranky when the sleeping was at its worst.
This afternoon, she slept for a little over two hours before I heard her starting to stir. Usually, she will play happily in her crib for 20-30 minutes before she lets me know that she is ready to get out and have a snack, so I was suprised when she suddenly got fussy and started crying. I was just finishing up a project, so it took me a few minutes to get her. By the time, I headed upstairs to her room, she was hollering loudly.
The minute I opened the door and saw her, I understood why she was so mad, and I couldn’t help but laugh.
Apparently, undressing during naptime is becoming a routine occurrance, only today, Cadence somehow managed to get herself good and stuck.
Once she saw me laughing though, she managed to fine the humor in the situation herself and we had a good chuckle before I helped her get out of the mess she’d gotten herself into. The photo of her hairdo after being rescued is almost as much fun as the photos of her tied up in her t-shirt.
Tonight’s 365 Project entry is dedicated to my silly monkey and her latest naptime shenanigans. Please excuse the quality of the photos. In my amused delirium, I snapped them with my cell phone instead of running to get the camera.
