I want to apologize in advance for the short post tonight, but it has been one helluva few days around here. Between my father being thrown from a horse and spending nearly two weeks in the hospital with pneumonia, a collapsed lung and three fractured ribs, and now helping my Mom and my aunts tackle the daunting task of cleaning out my recently deceased grandmother’s house–I simply don’t have much energy left for a blog post tonight.
The good news is that Duane was finally discharged from the hospital today. He is still in quite a bit of pain, and will be on oxygen for the next few weeks as he continues to heal, but at least he’s home and resting comfortably. In fact, he is snoozing in his recliner as we speak.
The bad news is that after already spending several days at Grandma’s house, we have only put a small dent in the enormous task of getting the house cleaned out and ready for its new owners. What we have done, and what we have already found at Grandma’s house is definitely worthy of a blog post all its own, and I will tackle that task tomorrow and throughout the week as we continue to work. But for tonight, I will leave you with one of today’s most surprising finds…
And there is sooooooooo much more where that came from, so be sure to stay tuned for more!
Tonight’s 365 Project entry is dedicated to Duane for finally coming back home, and to my dear husband, Mom, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends for their hard work at Grandma’s house. I can’t wait to see what we find next!
