It seemed a little surreal today, heading out to shoot my very first senior photo session with Miss Katie–a girl that has been like a little sister to me, long before I ever knew I actually had little sisters. When I first became friends with Katie’s mom, Tammy, I was just a high school student myself and Katie was just three.

Somehow, while I was off going to college and living in New York and Arizona, Katie grew from an adorably sweet little girl into the most amazing young woman. Watching her play with my daughter today, in between the photo shoots and outfit changes, I thought how blessed I am to still have Katie in my life, and to now be able to share her with Cadence.

It was a long day of shooting today, and I am dead tired. But, I just couldn’t help but to share a few photos from our day together…

Cadence and Katie
Teetering on a ladder on a hill for this shot, but so worth it! Thank you Scott for being my spotter today! Couldn't have done it without you!
We wouldn't let the rain stop us from getting our shots in the fields, and they turned out gorgeous!
Classic Katie. This expression hasn't changed one bit!
Katie was such a great model. She was up for anything, even a photo with Yogi Bear.
I had to share this photo at Steven's request. Midwestern girls that know how to shoot baffle my East Coast husband. 🙂

Today’s 365 Project is dedicated to the beautiful Miss Katie, and to a whole lot more stunning senior photos where these came from. Love you, girl!
