I’ve always enjoyed Avril Lavigne’s music, but was never a big enough fan to rush right out and buy any of her albums. That’s probably how I missed her song Girlfriend, and only heard it for the first time when Maks and Hope danced to it in week 2 of this season’s Dancing with the Stars.
If only this song had come out when I was in college.
No offense to any of my husband’s ex-girlfriends (okay, maybe some offense to just one crazy stalker), but I had a hard time thinking good thoughts about any of the girls that Steven was dating in those years I was quietly in love with him. I never went full-on voodoo doll on any of these girls, but I certainly did my fair share of wishing that I could master the art of the Jedi Mind Trick to convince them that “This is not the relationship you’re looking for” and send them on their way.
But, as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait. And I may have had to wait almost 10 years, but I finally married the man that I knew was my perfect match from the moment I first met him.
Funny how things work out.
Today’s 365 Project is dedicated to the one and only Steven Henry Romano. I know that you like me. 😉
im a crazy fan of avril and this song girlfriend i heard it for 3 years
I am so behind the times! But I’m glad I found the song now. And thanks for dropping by my blog! Now, I’m off to cyberstalk yours. 😉

Haha I love this post!!!!! I don’t know any of Jeremy’s ex’s personally but I know that I don’t like them! It’s like the song “I’ll think of a reason later” by Leann Womack. There was a girl interested in Jeremy on his myspace not long after he very first moved to texas, and I got sooo jealous! Anyways like my wonderful sissy, I am so happy that our guys finally realized we are who God made for them and I get to marry that crazy guy. 🙂
