I apologize in advance for the short blog post tonight, but it’s been a very long day. Between a sink/dishwasher repair that left our house smelling like rancid swamp water for the better part of the afternoon, getting a windshield replaced in Steven’s car, meeting with our loan officer to sign disclosures for the house we’re in the process of buying, and heading to the mall so Cadence could do a little trick-or-treating, all of us were pretty glad to finally get home, have a little dinner, and veg out on the couch to watch How I Met Your Mother and Dancing with the Stars.
Here are just a couple of photos of Miss Cadence from the mall this evening. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I believe my adorable daughter is going to have quite a promising career as a stuntwoman someday…
Once Cadence had her fill of basejumping in the children’s play area, we headed out to trick-or-treat at the stores in the mall. Of course, Cadence wanted to eat every piece of candy she got right away. This lady got lucky. At the store before this one, Cadence took the lollipop out of her mouth and dropped it in the candy bowl before grabbing another.
Back in the car and enjoying a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup on the ride. It only took Cadence about 2 seconds to learn the sign for “chocolate”.
After a surprise trick-or-treater at the door scared the living daylights out of our poor, tired girl, Daddy got the benefit of some extra snuggle time.
Tonight’s 365 Project entry is dedicated to my little rock star and her first time trick-or-treating. We had a blast, and we’re already looking forward to next year!
Aww she looked so cute! A little angel wearing a KISS tee shirt. That’s hilarious about the lollipop back in the big bowl. Hahaha
Thanks George! I wish she would have held still long enough for me to get at least one good photo! And yeah, I’m sure the guy handing out candy at that sporting goods store appreciated my daughter’s slobbery donation! 🙂
