I have to admit, until Steven and I got our new front load washer and dryer, laundry was one of my least favorite household chores. At some point after we married, Steven sort of became the laundry guy. I think it had something to do with the fact that I do a majority of the cooking. Steven taking over the laundry was some sort of trade off. (Or perhaps it had to do with the fact that I will put laundry off until both of us are literally out of underwear and socks). Whatever the reason, I was perfectly happy to sit back and let my husband take the reins.
After getting the new washer and dryer back in December, I’m finding that laundry isn’t nearly as big a chore as it used to be. Now we can wash loads twice as big as we used to. And, even better, our daughter is now at an age where she is suddenly very interested in helping. So today, while Steven was tidying up the office upstairs, I kicked back, relaxed, and took some pictures while Miss Cadence took care of the laundry…
Now, if we could just get her to pick up dog poop in the yard, we’d be set! ๐
Love this, cute post.
Thanks Jenny! ๐
That’s what kids are for, right? 18 years of indentured servitude. Thinking about procreating a maid myself!
You are so right! I think it’s definitely time you joined the Parents Club. It’s a wild ride, but man is it fun! ๐
