Since I first began blogging regularly, I’ve often wondered just who is out there reading this anyway? I have a group of subscribers and followers who I have been able to cyberstalk and find out who they are through their own blogs. But these days I’m routinely getting hundreds of hits a week (sometimes even hundreds a day), and I have no idea who is actually out there reading.
I gotta say, some days I don’t know whether to feel like a celebrity, or like someone is standing outside in the dark and peering in through my windows.
Guess that’s sort of what blogging is all about isn’t it?
Well, tonight I’m turning the tables. I’ve written hundreds of posts here, giving you glimpses into my life and my view of the world. Now, I’d like to know a little about yours. So, here’s what I’m asking you to do…
If you’re reading this post, leave a comment, and tell me something about yourself. It can be as simple as your name and where you’re from or, even better, how about some fun little fact about yourself. Come on, who’s out there? How’d you find me? And what keeps you coming back here for more?
Your comment here…
I like LOVE steaming hot coffee…chocolate, and the thrill of life. And I am a guy…NEVER satidfied, always coming back for more! lololol…truly, I enjoy the pleasure of wonderful people and finding out about the person they are that they keep from the rest of thier immediate world (and sometimes, I am lucky enough to photograph them in those moments). Adrenalin junkie, coffeeholic, traveller, adventurer, …is my time up yet?? lololol…
Fantastic comment, and totally explains why I enjoy your blog so much! As a fellow coffee and chocolate addicted photographer, I salute you good sir! 🙂 And, as far as I’m concerned, your time is never up. Keep writing…keep writing… 🙂
You know me! 🙂 I’m your future in-law! 😉
Hahaha! I hope Cadence and Nicholas don’t end up despising each other just because we’ve spent so long plotting their betrothal. They’re both adorable though, so I doubt they could resist each other. 🙂
Ooohhhh, me Miss! Present (raising my hand enthusiastically praying to be called on)
Oh my favorite Zulay! How on earth would I have survived the long days of teaching and grad school without you girl! Miss you like CRAZY!!!
I’m Kara. You know me. But because I like talking myself, I’m a freelance writer/photographer who loves gymnastics, yoga, traveling, driving, Wawa, my Keurig, cocktail shrimp, and Chipotle. I hate yellow mustard and bad grammar. My two boys are the coolest ever. I read your blog pretty much whenever you link it on FB because I’m too lazy to check my Google Reader.
Haha! Girl, I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know you! Seriously, there are so many similarities that if I hadn’t already found my biological family, I would be utterly convinced that we were twins or something! You already know that I stalk your blogs…in fact, I think I still need to blogroll your personal/writing blog. Off to make that happen. 🙂 Keep writing, my friend!
You know me. We went to high school together. I love reading your posts everyday…they come right to my email! You’re an amazing photographer and blogger. My 2 kids keep me on my toes and truely enjoy your blogs about your life, as I can relate to so many regarding Cadance! Keep doing what you have an amazing talent to do! We blog readers L.O.V.E. it!
Aww! Thanks for the love girl! So glad we’ve been able to keep in touch since HS, even if it is mostly in cyberland! 🙂 I’m even happier that you can relate to some of the crazy Cadence posts. Makes me feel like we must be semi-normal in spite of all the chaos! Haha!
Just a happily married guy with 3 chickens, 2 cats and a Great Dane. Soaking up the rain in Washington and reading about a rarely missed Midwest life.
Good grief, are you starting a petting zoo or what? 😉 So glad you are loving life and sharing it with someone as special as you are, and I’m even gladder (more glad? either way just looks/sounds weird) we’ve been able to keep in touch. Stay dry out there in Washington!
I love hearing about a day in the life of my grandkids. That way I can keep up with them, even if my life is dull and I have nothing to say. Love Nana
Aww! Always love having you drop by Nana! Even if it is in cyberland! One of these days we need to be getting together in person again. That sweet little newborn you spent so much time holding and soothing has changed quite a bit!
Number one fact is your sister is marrying my son and your blogs are interesting and gives me a little back ground about you. Your sister raves about you and your pictures are wonderful to look at. Can’t wait to as Cadence again she was so little the first time we met.
Aww! It’s a good family union as far as I’m concerned! 🙂 Kassie can be a little overzealous with the praise, but hey, I’ll take it! Can’t wait to see you again in July! And you won’t even recognize Cadence. She’s hell on wheels these days!
well, lets see. I like long walks on the beach…. 😉
🙂
I found you through the WP humor tag. Let’s see, about me, hmm… Here’s a fun fact about me. I avoided eating an olive of any kind until I was 32. I told people I was allergic to them so I wouldn’t be tempted. When I was about 7 I figured that I wouldn’t have much left to discover when I was 32 so I saved olives. It would be a whole new world!
I tired them, and hated them in all their over salty glory. Biggest disappointment ever.
So glad you found me! Your blog routinely cracks me up! So sorry olives were such a disappointment. Can’t say that I’m a big fan either, but at least I didn’t have a 32 year build up to the disappointment. Ever tried escargot? Now that was something I put off for the longest time for the sheer grossness factor, so the first time I tried it at age 18, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Maybe it could be your new olive?
I’m a 20-something trying to navigate though the things 20-something’s have to navigate through 🙂 marriage, in-laws, babies, home-ownership, etc. I forget how I found you but your blog is like reading an amazing book that I just can’t put down!
Aww thanks! I love your blog too and routinely cyberstalk you. I think maybe it’s time I just go ahead and add you to my blogroll. 🙂
I actually just came across your blog while searching “Lincoln” to see what other local bloggers are out there. My goal is to become a freelance writer/photographer. I write about religion, sports, cooking, or just what’s going on in my life. Here’s a recent post of mine I think you might like: http://derekjohnsonmuses.com/2012/04/01/heartland-renaissance/
Really like your articles, keep it up!
Hey, glad you found my blog! Now I’m off to cyberstalk yours. 🙂
