There was a time in my life when I woke each day and tried to make sense of a world that was swimming out of focus. There was a time when I was drowning. I think everyone goes through it at some point. Some get through it and escape relatively unscathed. Some never quite figure out how to swim. And some emerge from the stormy sea forever changed, with a sharper perspective and a greater appreciation for the solid ground beneath their feet.
These days, I am thankful for the bumps in the road, for the difficulties, for the trials and the challenges and the hard lessons learned because they have led me here, exactly where I am supposed to be.
Life is beautiful, my friends, when you see it in focus.
